Auli
Overview
Auli is an important ski destination in the Himalayan mountains of Uttarakhand, India. Auli, also known as Auli Bugyal, in Garhwali, which means meadow, is located at an elevation of 2500 to 3050 meters above sea level. Auli is less known ski destination than Shimla, Gulmarg or Manali. It was only in the recent time, after the creation of new state Uttarakhand carved out from Uttar Pradesh, Auli was marketed as a tourist destination. The state is called “Devbhumi” which means “Land of the Gods” as there are important pilgrimage destination in this state mainly the ‘Char Dham’ (Gangotri-Yamunotri-Kedarnath-Badrinath).
ITINERARY
Day 1 : Delhi Rishikesh:(225kms/ 6hrs Drive)
Early morning starts from Delhi for a adventures Skiing tour ahead, travel by surface to Rishikesh afternoon arrival, check in at Hotel & relax, evening join Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat (Dinner & overnight at hotel).
Day 02 : Rishikesh – Auli:(262kms/ 8hrs Drive)
Today After breakfast check out from hotel and drive toward Auli. En-route visit Devprayag (confluence of river Alaknanda and Bhagirathi) and Rudraprayag (confluence of river Alaknanda and Mandakini) reach by evening. On arrival check in hotel and relax. overnight at hotel
Day 03 : Auli (Skiing)
Today after breakfast ready to enjoy the most waited activity. Enjoy the skiing at slop of Himalaya and panoramic view of Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 04 : Auli – Rishikesh: (262kms/ 8hrs Drive)
Today early morning leave Auli and start downward drive toward Rishikesh, reach by evening on arrival check in & relax. Evening join Ganga aarti at Trivani Ghat. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 05 : Rishikesh – Delhi: (225kms/ 6hrs Drive)
Today after breakfast check out from hotel and proceed toward Delhi, reach by evening. On arrival transfer to Airport / Railway Station for further journey ahead.
